Interventional Radiology News: Registry

Precision VIR is proud to share this exciting news in the field of interventional radiology with you. The American College of Radiology and the Society of Interventional Radiology have launched a new interventional radiology registry in order to improve the quality of care delivered to our patients.

This new registry will combine data from national, state, regional and individual practice level to outline trends and areas of improvement in the field. Performance benchmarks will allow IR doctors to measure and track patient safety goals and quality improvement efforts.
Some topics include risk factors before procedures are performed, techniques utilized during the procedure and success or complication rates following a procedure.

The doctors at Precision VIR are proud to be part of the advancing field of interventional radiology. This initiative will allow interventional radiologists to provide the best and safest care possible. Aaron Ashton, MD says “This registry provides us with the data necessary to make the safest, most effective clinical decisions that may have otherwise eluded us.”
