About Dr. Chan

Danny Chan MD, MBA, is a vascular and interventional radiology specialist at StrideCare’s Dallas, Sherman, and McKinney, Texas, locations. He specializes in comprehensive vein care, minimally invasive treatment for vascular disease, arteriovenous (AV) dialysis intervention, women’s health, and male infertility. Dr. Chan has extensive experience diagnosing and treating patients with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and associated connective tissue disorders (Ehlers-Danlos syndromes).

Dr. Chan co-founded StrideCare, and he’s passionate about helping patients avoid major surgery by using minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Chan earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and received his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He went on to complete a general surgery internship at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Chan finished his vascular training in New York City with a radiology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. He’s fellowship-trained in vascular and interventional radiology from the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute.

Dr. Chan helps patients who are suffering from venous insufficiency, peripheral artery disease, uterine fibroids, varicose and spider veins, restless legs syndrome, diabetic vascular disease, and much more. He uses conservative and minimally invasive procedures, such as uterine fibroid embolization, ovarian vein embolization, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), sclerotherapy, angioplasty, phlebectomy, venous stents, and numerous others.

Dr. Chan stays current with the latest advances in vascular care. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic radiology and vascular and interventional radiology. Dr. Chan holds a certification as a registered physician vascular interpreter (RPVI).

He worked as an assistant professor in the division of interventional radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and was the medical director of Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory at St. Paul University Hospital in Dallas, Texas, for many years. He has published numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and presents at medical association meetings nationwide.

In his free time, Dr. Chan enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and exploring new restaurants. He’s passionate about youth sports and getting involved with his son’s basketball and baseball events. Dr. Chan is currently accepting new patients and is excited to welcome them to StrideCare.
