What if a doctor could save your limb, your liver, your brain … your life, and send you home with only a Band-Aid? No Surgery, No Stitches, No Scars.
This is the tag-line of the new documentary series released on Amazon showcasing interventional radiology. Without a Scalpel is a 40-minute episode featuring the stories of three patients who receive life-saving interventional radiology procedures.
Most patients and even some doctors are unfamiliar with the cutting-edge field of interventional radiology. Interventional radiologists are radiologists who have completed additional training in minimally-invasive, image-guided procedures. The same ultrasound, x-ray or CT-scan machines that are used to diagnose a patient’s disease are used by interventionalists to perform surgery on a patient through a small hole or incision on the skin.
All of the physicians at Precision Vascular and Interventional are formally trained interventional radiologists who use these same techniques to provide state-of-the-art medical treatments to patients in Dallas, Carrollton, Fort Worth and North Texas. Whether at our in-office cath lab or in the hospital, we offer minimally invasive therapy options for venous disease, blood clots, peripheral arterial disease, diabetic wounds, cancer, fibroids, and more.
